The drop-down list of Service User Groups can be selected on any org/person's Details screen, though it is most commonly used for Clients and Carers. The list can contain any options you want it to.

==Examples of use==
 
 
 
Service User Group is often used to categorise service users in some way. However -
 
 
 
* If the categorisation is based on need, then [[Categories of Need]] may be more appropriate;
 
* Service User Group is a quality of the org/person, but doesn't give any other functionality: it should not be confused with Clubs and Clinics (regularly occurring "groups"), or [[Groups and Skills]]

Data entered in the Service User Group field on an org/person's Details screen is available:

Creating/Editing

Click on an existing group to edit it or click the 'Enter New Record' button to create a new one. This option can also be re-named using the Terminology function.

You can now enter/edit the following details:

  • Service User Group Name
  • Notes (for information on this screen only; these notes are not output on any report)
  • Display Order in the drop down list
  • Active Service User Group? - whether this Service User Group is to be available for use on the system or not

Click the 'Save Details' button to continue.

Merging

  5. Click 'cancel' to abort the change or 'OK' to continue. This cannot be undone!
