Emergency cards are generally carried by Carers to inform the emergency services that they are caring for a vulnerable person. The emergency services can contact the specified organisation so that an emergency plan for the cared for can be actioned. The emergency card lookup is a tool to allow fast searching for a person using an emergency card number. The emergency card number is recorded using a section on the left of a persons record.
