Whenever an Organisation/Person is added to the system, they will be assigned an ID number. It will be displayed on their Details Screen, in brackets after their name, and in various other places.
This number:
- is automatically assigned by the system - it cannot be specified
- is unique across all organisations and people, regardless of Types - no two Organisations/Person will ever have the same number
- is assigned starting at 1 and working upwards (so people with higher ID numbers were added later)
- is displayed on most reports, and so can be used to identify unique people (rather than relying on names etc)
