Contact Types are a way of categorising Actions recorded on the Charitylog system. There are other ways of categorising (and therefore, reporting on) Actions -
- Action Linked
Referral Source ("Where did the client hear about us")
- Referral Linked
Contact Types are separate to all of these. The list of Contact Types can be configured to any setup you need. Once set up, entry of Contact Types is done from the Record a Contact screen, and can be made mandatory (forced) for users, or left optional. Users can only enter one Contact Type per action.
Setup
Clicking on the menu item will bring you to the list of existing Contact Types on your system, if there are any. Click on "Create New Contact Type" to add a new one.
You can now add:
- Name of the Contact Type to be created
- Display Order
- Active? (Y/N)
Click "Save Details" when done.
You will be returned to the list of Contact Types with the new one added.
To edit any existing Contact Type, click on its name.
