Click on the menu item to see a list of the Ethic Origins currently set up on your system. Click on "Enter New Ethnic Origin" to create a new category, or click on the name of an existing one to edit it.
You can now enter the following details:
- Ethnic Origin Name
- Notes (for information on this screen only; these notes do not appear on the output of any reports)
- Is This a B.M.E. (BAME) group? - Yes/No options
- Display Order
- Active? - whether this ethnic origin is available on the system (i.e. to be selected on records) or not
Number of usages
On the screen displaying the Ethnic Origins set up on the system, there is a column showing "Number of Orgs/People Usages".
Clicking on any number in this column (as long as it is not zero) will show all of the people on the system that have that Ethnic Origin set on their record.
Examples of use
The drop-down list of Ethnic Origins can be used on any organisation/person's record to capture their ethnic group. The field may need to be turned on for the org/person Type in question in the Record Type Definitions screen.
