The Backup and Update Replica Database Audit feature produces a report about when the system has been backed up.

Your data can be backed up at any time using the Backup Data feature - in essence this is a wholesale copy of the system data which you can download. The Update Replica Databases feature also allows a wholesale copy of the system, except in this case, the copy is made to another Crossdata system. When the Backup Data option is used, the data is downloaded in SQL format, and is not encrypted, so this could represent a significant security risk if not properly controlled.

The system keeps an audit of when the Backup Data feature is used, as well as the Update Replica Databases feature (because once the data is copied to a replica system, it could also be downloaded from there), and this report is the output for that audit record. Backups of uploaded documents are also audited in this way because uploaded document backups also allow the user to download readable data.

Report filters

You can filter the reporting output by:

  • Earliest Date and Latest Date - use these to set a date range for the report
  • Type - report on all backups, or narrow the results to Database Backups, Update Replica Database, or Uploaded Document Backups.
