Location in standard build: Administration > Security > Referral Closure Update

The "Referral Closure Update" link allows you to update all the Referral (Diary Entry) Closure dates in accordance with the preferences set against the Projects. If you have set 'Automatic Closure' to 'Yes', all Diary Entries will be checked and updated according to whether there are any outstanding Actions left or not. If it is set to 'No', no changes will be made to the Referral Closure Dates for Diary Entries in that Project.

This option is intended for use when you have a Project set up so that Referrals do not automatically close when there are no more outstanding actions to be done, and then the Project Settings are changed so that Referrals do automatically close. At that point, you can use Referral Closure Update to go back, scan for Referrals which are still open despite having no outstanding actions, and close them.

Once the Referral Closure Update has run successfully, you should see a confirmation message:
