Signpost and External referrals are used when recording contacts/actions when referring/signposting on to another service or organisation, they can also specify a contact method for each referral/signpost recorded. Example of types would be 'Internal' or 'External' which would specify if you have referred/signposted to an internal service or a different organisation.
To edit an existing type click on it's name or click the 'Enter New Type' to create a new one. Complete the following details:
- Type name - The name of the category ('Internal')
- Display Order - The order in the drop down.
- The Contact Method shown in Reports - What contact method is used, for reports.
- Active? - Set to yes to use this type.
